Schmincke Liquid Charcoal

Schmincke Liquid Charcoal offers a range of water-soluble natural colours, providing a mess-free and dust-free way to work with charcoal. Formulated with natural pigments sourced locally in Germany, these charcoals are a fantastic addition to any drawing or painting kit.
Bound in Gum Arabic, much like traditional watercolours and gouache paints, these colours allow for extensive washes and painterly strokes with rich black tones. They can be diluted to various strengths, giving you control over textures and thicknesses. Once dry, they can be smudged or smeared like regular charcoal, and even lifted with water. Whether used alone or combined with your favourite pencils or sketching sticks, they also serve perfectly as underpaintings for both oil and acrylic works.
Please note that minimal colour variations may occur between different batches due to the nature of the pigments.
